El Ministerio de Salud de la Nación confirmó esta mañana un nuevo fallecimiento por coronavirus, una mujer de 65 años residente en la provincia de Buenos Aires, con lo que asciende a 90 el número de muertes por Covid-19 en el país.
En tanto, la secretaria de Acceso a la Salud, Carla Vizzotti, destacó como dato positivo que la cantidad de personas en terapia intensiva, 83 pacientes, «continúa estable».
También confirmó que hay cinco casos de coronavirus en «nuestras islas Malvinas» y recordó que el Gobierno ofreció «ayuda humanitaria para quienes habitan» ese territorio.
El total de casos confirmados en Argentina es de 2.142, de los cuales 90 fallecieron, 816 (38%) son importados, 712 (33%) son contactos estrechos de casos confirmados, 304 (14%) son casos de circulación comunitaria y «el resto se encuentra en investigación epidemiológica», señaló el reporte matutino del ministerio.
Del total de casos (2.142), el 46.7% son mujeres y el 53.3% son hombres, mientras que el total de altas es de 468 personas.
«Seguimos ampliando el testeo. Ya son 142 laboratorios y 67 públicos y privados de todo el país que realizan más de 10 muestras. Y ese índice alcanza los 435 por millón de habitantes», señaló la funcionaria. También se informó que ayer fueron realizadas 1.731 nuevas muestras y «desde el inicio del brote se realizaron 19.758 pruebas diagnósticas para esta enfermedad».
Del reporte participaron también Alejandro Costa, subsecretario de Estrategias Sanitarias, y Paula Valeria Russo, licenciada en Terapia Física.
