El intendente, Alberto Decalzo, participó de una reunión junto a los jefes comunales de la primera sección y al ministro de Educación de la Nación, Nicolás Trotta, en la cual se firmó un convenio para la entrega de netbooks a estudiantes de cuarto año de las escuelas secundarias de la región.
En la reunión, llevada a cabo en la Quinta Municipal “La Colonial”, de Merlo, los intendentes y el Ministro dialogaron acerca de la importancia que tiene para los y las estudiantes poder acceder a herramientas tecnológicas como las netbooks a lo largo del aislamiento social preventivo y obligatorio, dictado por el Gobierno Nacional.
El Ministro Trotta sostuvo, por su parte: “Queremos reactivar el programa Conectar Igualdad y volver a transitar el esquema de una computadora por estudiante y lograr el 100% de conectividad en nuestras escuelas, para mejorar las condiciones educativas y brindarles a los chicos, a los docentes y a las familias cada vez más herramientas educativas. Es importante entender que esto no se trata solamente de una computadora para trabajar en el aula. En muchos casos esta será la única computadora de la casa, y confiamos en que esto genere un impacto positivo en los hogares de los más de 55 mil alumnos y alumnas que reciban su netbook”.
Por su parte, Alberto Descalzo destacó: “Me pone muy feliz estar acá y poder firmar este convenio. La inclusión de nuestros pibes y nuestras pibas es, desde siempre, una prioridad. Poder hacer entrega de esta herramienta tecnológica será fundamental para que podamos achicar las brechas digitales y mejorar sus posibilidades de estudio. Me alegra también que esta reunión se haya realizado un día como hoy, ya que hoy cumpliría 101 años Eva Perón, quien para muchos de nosotros y nosotras representa una bandera eterna de la solidaridad, igualdad y justicia social”.
En este sentido el Ministro destacó la importancia del trabajo en conjunto entre el Gobierno Nacional, Provincial y los distintos municipios: “Lo que estamos haciendo responde a la voluntad del Presidente, Alberto Fernández. Queremos acompañar a nuestros estudiantes y a nuestros docentes. Por eso, reactivamos el programa, especialmente en las regiones que presentan mayores niveles de vulnerabilidad socioeducativa. Y por eso también, es que vamos a trabajar con las áreas de educación de los municipios, para garantizar que las escuelas con mayores necesidades sean las primeras en recibir las netbooks y algunos de los más de 20 millones de cuadernillos con material didáctico que venimos otorgando en todo el país”.
Una vez concluido el evento, el Intendente de Merlo, Gustavo Menéndez, agregó “Los Intendentes estamos trabajando de manera conjunta y hemos hecho de lado nuestras diferencias políticas en beneficio de nuestros vecinos y vecinas en esta pandemia que nos toca atravesar. Creo que es un muy buen ejemplo y que si seguimos trabajando de esta manera podremos enfrentar de una mejor manera los efectos de la pandemia”.
La jornada contó con la presencia del Intendente de Merlo, Gustavo Menéndez, y de los siguientes jefes y jefas distritales: Lucas Ghi (Morón), Juan Zabaleta (Hurlingham), Mariel Fernández (Moreno),Mauro García (General Rodríguez), Ricardo Curutchet (Marcos Paz), Jaime Méndez (San Miguel), Diego Valenzuela (Tres de Febrero) y Mario Ishi (José C. Paz).
